All of the BIMA instrumentalists and singers went to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital to perform music that we have been working on all summer. It was such an amazing opportunity to be in such an incredible place. When we got there, we saw a lot of different people who looked a bit different. They wanted to see us perform and were very happy that we were there. The most amazing thing was to see how their faces changed and their eyes shined and got brighter when we made music. I think that it’s really incredible that they can give young people the opportunity to be good people and do a mitzvah (good deed) and make this world a little bit better. It’s really important for me to be able to do this, and it was such a great experience. It’s an incredible feeling when you can say that you changed the world and helped people. It didn’t take a lot of effort, but it meant a lot for them so it was amazing. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
